Hey guys! So as per usual we’ve been very busy. Unfortunately we were forced to cancel our session last Wednesday with Roger due to poor weather conditions, so we did a little bit of flat water distance training on the Leam instead. However, yesterday conditions were good so we did go training on the sea in Anglesey with our coach Roger Chandler! We went through lots and have now been out on the sea in moderate sea conditions, force 4 winds. We are getting our kayaks from P&H in a couple of weeks, so for now we used a mixture of boats that Roger has loaned us. Here’s a photo of us on the water, courtesy of Roger:
Roger is an excellent coach so we are really pleased he’s training us up to scratch for this venture. Here’s a photo of Roger with Erin and Mark:
We’ve also had a very promising email with regards to being loaned paddles for our trip, which is brilliant as this was a concern for us. Will let you know as soon as we can once we have a confirmed sponsor!
Finally this weekend we are heading up to Tees barrage with some friends from Warwick Canoe club, after we enjoyed it so much on slalom. I am looking forward to Mark having a go on the course, as he didn’t get to go on Slalom, I think he’s going to enjoy it! We are staying at the house of Erin’s lovely parents in Leeds, so we are very grateful to them for having us!
